I transformed my depressing, brown grass with an easy recipe – it lasts all winter and now my yard doesn’t look gloomy
A LAWN care expert has revealed how she transformed her brown grass with a simple fix.
Her go-to spray solution not only gave her lawn life but lasted the entire winter season.
Kelly (@kellybossman) shared the gardening trick with her TikTok followers.
"I'm going to show you guys how I took this depressing dormant Bermuda grass in our backyard and transformed it with Lawn Star grass paint that I got off Amazon," she said.
In a garden sprayer jug, she mixed half a bottle of the $25 grass paint with two gallons of water.
"It's pretty easy... then you start spraying and transform your garden," she said.
After thoroughly mixing the paint and the water, she tested the solution on a piece of plywood, as well as to keep the paint from landing on surfaces she didn't want to expose it to.
Laying down the plywood as a cover, she began spraying her grass with the paint.
"That color is pretty natural. I have little dogs and once it's dry, it doesn't come in the house on their feet, it doesn't bleed when it rains," she added.
"I tried this last year in our backyard that lasted all winter. It may fade a little bit but.. it's so much better."
People were impressed by the simple but effective green hack.
"It looks terrific!! Definitely brightens it up for the upcoming winter months," said one commenter.
"Grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Neighbors might just have grass paint," joked another.
Some were on the fence about the hack initially but eventually warmed up to it.
"I wanna judge this so bad but it really does look nice and would help your mood all winter," said one viewer.
