Bournemouth 0 Aston Villa 1: Watkins’ record-breaking goal pulls Emery’s side right back in race for Champions League

ASTON VILLA kept up their European push with a narrow 1-0 win at Bournemouth.

Ollie Watkins got a deft touch on a Morgan Rogers cross in the sixth minute of first-half injury time.

That was Watkins' 75th Premier League goal for Villa, the most any player has scored for the club.

And it also proved to be the only goal of the game as Villa clung on with ten men for the final ten minutes.

Jacob Ramsey was sent off for two yellow cards - and will miss their clash with Tottenham on Friday.
