Coronation Street’s Elle Mulvaney forced to take desperate measures at home to stop soap storylines leaking
CORONATION Street legend Elle Mulvaney is so worried she will get told off by ITV bosses for letting storylines slip, she's forced to take severe measures.
The actress, who has played Amy Barlow on the show since she was eight years old, admits those close to her have no idea what to expect from her character during Christmas on the cobbles.
Speaking at the ITV Palooza in central London, Elle, 21, said: "It's always a worry - letting it slip.
"I think my mum would leak it but my dad is okay.
"My dad actually does all my scripts with me so it's really hard not to let things slip when he's reading it."
In recent weeks Amy has seen more and more high profile storylines, including her blossoming romance with Aadi Alahan, played by Adam Hussain, and an epic kidnap plot.

Opening up about being given more and more exciting opportunities from the script writers, Elle said: "I've grown up in the show so it's nice to be given the nod of confidence that they trust me and they want me to do big things. It's exciting.
"I have been really lucky. It's great getting to do all these stunts. There has been a lot going on.
"It's just nice to get to do something different. Adam [Hussain] is great who plays Aadi.
"I mean it's just great fun isn't it - getting to do a night shoot with one of your mates. What more can I ask for? We have had a laugh."
Trying not to give too much away for the coming weeks, Elle teased: "We are going to see Amy and Aadi growing a bit closer so we have a really exciting Barlow's Christmas.
"It's very interesting, I can say that."
Coronation Street continues Friday at 8pm on ITV
