Emmerdale star hints he’s quit soap after three years amid dramatic storyline

EMMERDALE star Emile John has hinted he has quit the soap in a series of mysterious social media posts amid his current dramatic storyline.

The actor - who plays Ethan Anderson in the ITV soap - is on a luxury holiday in Bali where he’s been entertaining himself on a Q&A session with fans.

And he’s put some pretty clear hints that he’s leaving the show.

Viewers know Ethan is facing prison for fleeing a drunken car crash and trying to frame pal Nicky Miligan for it.

He left Nicky for dead at the side of the car and then tried to cover up his involvement.

However while trying to fake an alibi with his vicar dad Charles, he was betrayed with Charles turning him over to the police.

Exposed as responsible for Nicky’s life-threatening injuries, Ethan was the victim of a brutal hit and run.

Nicky’s mother Ruby revealed she had been the one driving and told him that if Nicky doesn’t wake up, she’ll finish the job.

However Nicky has woken up and Ethan is preparing to plead guilty and face the consequences of his actions.

Spoilers have revealed that he will suffer a shock collapse next week.

Stepmum Manpreet Sharma will battle to save his life but even if she does - Ethan is facing a spell in prison.

Now actor Emile has hinted that either way he’s leaving the village.

On the Instagram Q&A, a fan told him: “Praying Ethan doesn’t end up leaving the village. Fave character and storylines.”

In reply Emile posted a video saying: “I.. mean.. look… the thing is… basically… I mean hey that’s the… yeah.”

In another response Emile was told by another fan: “Can’t wait to see what movie he’s in after Emmerdale”.

And he replied: “Me too bruh. Me too.”

But does this mean he’s quit the soap? Or is he teasing fans?
