Hollywood child actor shares bizarre things she had to do for work – from rescheduling her own birthday to tax meetings
A WOMAN has revealed the bizarre situations she found herself in as a child actor in Hollywood.
Rylie Shaw was a child model and actor, appearing in films such as Tulip Hill and Where We Were and took to social media to dish the tea on what it's really like.
"Things that were normal to me as a child actress that I now realise were very weird," she began the video.
The child star revealed it wasn't uncommon for parents to live off of their child's earnings in the acting world.
She said: "That is an insane amount of pressure to put on a kid."
While Rylie's parents never relied on her to make ends meet she met lots of these pushy parents in audition rooms.

The problem was so bad one kid told her brother, who was also a child actor, he couldn't get the job as his dad was relying on him to get the job to pay for the families bills.
Unfortunately, Rylie's brother got the job instead of the other child.
She also revealed that in hindsight it was weird that she had to pay taxes at nine years old and even had to go to tax meetings.
Rylie even had to reschedule her own birthday party because of her career.
"As a child I also had to reschedule my birthday party for work," she added.
"I ended up booking an American Girl commercial on the day of my 10th birthday party, so I had to change it to go to work.
"Like, what kid can say they did that?"
Plenty of people assume she must have not enjoyed her childhood because of her busy schedule, but Rylie revealed that wasn't the case.
"I promise you guys, I loved my childhood and wouldn't change it for a single thing," she explained.
The clip posted to her TikTok account @rylie_shaw has since gone viral with over 5million views and 540k likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts of her career in the comments.
One person wrote: "Your childhood shouldn't have happened, whether you loved it it not. Hollywood isn't a place for children."
Another commented: "It seems like your parents treated it as a hobby that you got paid for. That seems like the perfect balance."
"Sounds like your parents treated it as hobbies for you guys and not careers that’s great," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "It is INSANE that a grown adult would live off of their under 18 year old child…"
