Georgina East is a UK-based skin specialist with over 20 years of experience.

She is the founder of Grafton Spa and Wellness Ltd in Northamptonshire and runs the Harley Street skin transformation clinic SKNfluence.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she shared her tips for slowing the signs of aging.

SKINCARE STAPLES

East revealed several lifestyle choices that keep skin youthful.

“Staying well-hydrated is crucial,” she said. “Proper hydration helps maintain skin elasticity and plumpness.

“Consume foods rich in antioxidants, such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts, to combat free radicals that contribute to aging.

“Daily sun protection is non-negotiable.

“Regularly use sunscreen with broad-spectrum SPF to shield your skin from harmful UV rays.

“The best one I can recommend is the City Mood +, this ultra-light emulation shields against blue light and UV rays, protecting skin from photo-aging.

“Aim for quality sleep to allow your skin to repair and regenerate.

“Chronic stress accelerates aging, practice relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga.

“Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol, both can harm collagen and elastin fibers, and starve the skin of oxygen and vital nutrients.”

BEAUTY BUYS

East said "consistently" using quality beauty products is necessary to achieve optimal results.

She recommended getting personalized advice from a dermatologist or skincare expert to address specific concerns.

Excessive exfoliation can damage the skin barrier.
