My ‘magic’ rosemary oil recipe gives you longer, thicker hair – mine’s down to my waist thanks to 4 kitchen ingredients
A BEAUTY guru has revealed how she was able to grow her hair waist-length without expensive salon treatments.
She created a nutrient-rich oil that makes tresses thick using ingredients she already had in her kitchen.
Belallure (@belallure) has garnered almost 238,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty tips.
She decided to reveal her “magic rosemary oil recipe” after receiving numerous requests from people eager to get “longer, thicker" hair themselves.
“Step 1, boil two cups of water,” read the text over the video as she demonstrated the process of making the oil.
“Step 2, rinse rosemary under water.
“Step, 3 use a double boiler,” the text continued as she placed a glass bowl into the boiling saucepan of water.
“Step 4, pour ½ cup of avocado oil. Step 5, add rosemary. Step 6, add cloves to stimulate blood flow to the scalp.”
She left the mixture to boil on the stove for 20-30 minutes before removing it from the heat and showing how it looked.
Once it was cool, she used a strainer to separate the loose sprigs of rosemary from the liquid.
Belallure added one tablespoon of Jamaican black castor oil, two tablespoons of apricot kernel oil, one tablespoon of pumpkin seed oil, six drops of Japanese peppermint essential oil, and six drops of rosemary essential oil to the mixture.
“Pour into an air-tight jar,” read the text over the screen.
She finished the process by transferring the liquid into a refillable applicator bottle for easy use.
“Here’s my highly requested rosemary hair oil recipe,” read the caption of the video. “I apply it two to three times a week.”
She recommended storing the oil in a dark place at room temperature for no longer than 30 days.
“It works on brown, black, brunette, red & blonde. All hair colors & hair types,” Belallure added.
Over 23,000 people liked the post and many viewers took to the comment section saying rosemary oil has worked wonders for their hair.
The video comes after an article published by Medical News Today rounded up recent studies that found rosemary oil has the same effect as Minoxidil, a hair growth medication, after six weeks of use.

Further research is needed to confirm if rosemary oil can also prevent hair loss before it happens.
Experts warn that rosemary oil is highly concentrated and using an excessive amount may damage hair rather than improve growth.
