On January 6, 2024, one contestant was eliminated from The Masked Singer.

Bubble Tea, Chicken Caesar, and Owl were left in the danger zone and it was up to the judges to decide which star would be eliminated from the contest.

Chicken Caesar became the second character to be given the boot from the competition, and the star hiding behind the mask was revealed to be none other than Pointless host Alexander Armstrong.

Judge Jonathan admitted that he was left kicking himself as the TV presenter was revealed after the panel failed to identify the star.

Talking about taking part in the show, Alexander said: “I’ve been longing to do it, every year I’m always getting messages saying are you so and so? Are you Traffic Cone? And I say maybe!

"I’ve loved it, it's the beginning of the journey and the end of the journey but what a journey it's been!”

Reflecting on his elaborate costume, the star added: "It's just fabulous. You can wander about, and I've got a wingspan!

"Very colourful as well, which I think is terrific. Lots of things I can do with that.

"The worst thing is it's quite heavy. The head's very heavy and you can't really see anything.’’

Who has left The Masked Singer so far?

Each week a famous face is revealed when the mask is lifted.

Here's who has been unmasked so far:

What are the latest Masked Singer fan theories?

Viewers are convinced a soap legend is behind Owl after spotting a huge 'clue'.

On January 6, 2024, Owl performed a rendition of Kylie Minogue's smash hit Padam Padam.

In true The Masked Singer style, fans of the guessing game were quick to take to social media to share their latest thoughts and theories - and many insisted it was Waterloo Road star Kym Marsh hiding behind the mask, after linking Owl's school uniform costume with the BBC drama.

One person wrote: "I know there’s jokes about her doing this but genuinely think Kym Marsh could be Owl!"

A second said: "The whole school thing made me think of Waterloo Road and Kym instantly came to mind."

And it’s not the first time the star has been linked to the show.

In 2021, Kym was previously forced to deny she was Harlequin on the series after being inundated with messages.

Fans of The Masked Singer think they have uncovered the identity of Piranha after performing a belting rendition of 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now' by Celine Dion.

After a mention of 'motion in the ocean' as a clue and impressive vocals, McFly fans took to X - formerly known as Twitter in their droves as devotees of the band are "convinced" that the identity is that of Danny Jones.

Pointing to several clues, one viewer wrote: "I heard ‘motion in the ocean’ as a clue and was like ‘not to be that annoying mcfly stan but that's a mcfly album’ and then mr Danny Jones opened his mouth and tah dah! #maskedsinger."

Meanwhile, another said: "Any McFly fan knows without a doubt that this is @itsDannyJones on the @MaskedSingerUK go get em mush!’’

And it’s not the first time a member of a noughties group has entered the singing show.

Charlie Simpson from rival band Busted won the fourth series of the hit ITV show.

When it comes to The Masked Singer, the show is known for its shocking surprises.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that viewers are expecting the unexpected.

After The Masked Singer announced a huge judging shake-up, fan theories quickly emerged regarding a 'missing' Rita Ora.

News of Rita’s star-studded replacements, such as Olly Murs, has prompted fans to revive speculations that the star might be participating as a contestant on the show.

One fan wrote on X/Twitter: "They showed what's coming up next week on Masked Singer and they showed all of the judges plus they guess who is Olly Murs but no Rita? So what if she is behind the mask that we said last week!"

Another added: "I could almost believe that IS Rita Ora in Maypole, just for a twist."

Stand up comedian Mo Gilligan was also among those speculating on the star, adding: "I think it might be Rita Ora."

However, other viewers pointed out that the singer had already explained why she would be missing from the opening episode.

She told viewers that she was busy filming the US version of the programme, adding: "I have missed three episodes and I hate missing this show. It’s one of my favourite things to do, I love the panel, I love having this job and I love doing this show."

The Masked Singer viewers have also matched Ciao Adios hitmaker Anne Marie with the smiley character, as well as Katy Perry and Melody Thornton.

Air Fryer

After Air Fryer arrived on the ITV show, fans were quick to share their theories.

After cooking clues were scattered around the VT, viewers were left speculating about a This Morning legend with a direct link to the world of TV cooking.

During the Clue VT, Air Fryer made reference to a famous Paul - which some have speculated to mean Paul Hollywood - as well as celebrity chefs.

Air Fryer also insisted they would sizzle on the stage as well as being a top of the range model.

After hearing the clues, viewers were left convinced that Alison Hammond was the star behind the cooking costume.

Alison joined the Channel 4 hit show The Great British Bake Off in 2023, and a number of hidden messages appeared to link to the hit show.

One fan said: "I think Air Fryer is Alison Hammond,’’ meanwhile, a second wrote: ‘’I'm saying Air Fryer is Alison Hammond.’’

Rat

Also included in the whacky and wonderful line-up is Rat, and fans are working fast to unmask the character.

Clued-up viewers reckon Rat is none other than former Great British Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc.

One of the clues that has left fans convinced it's Mel is that there was a clock in her VT full of hints, which pointed to 3.15pm.

Fans think this could be a reference to a 'late lunch' - the name of the daytime show Mel and co-star Sue presented on Channel 4 in 1998.

One eagle-eyed viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "I am not too sure about Rat, but I will put down Mel Giedroyc for now. As the 3.15pm on the clock, could be a Late Lunch (her previous show with Sue)."

Meanwhile, a second said: "I got Mel Giedroyc from Rat before she even spoke is that bad?"

Other fan theories surrounding the character and their costume include 90s popstar Sonia Evans and Claire Sweeney.

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower has fans convinced they are a huge TV sitcom star.

Speculation was rife that Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall was the secret singer after fans spotted a string of giveaway clues.

In the VT, the Eiffel Tower received a text message from a mysterious Mr. Big which fans have connected to the character from Kim's popular show.

The character was also seen posing away on the famous Abbey Road crossing in London, famed for its association with Liverpool rockers The Beatles.

And clued-up viewers were quick to note that Kim's birthplace was Liverpool and how the Eiffel Tower character could be giving a nod to that.

Sharing their fan theories on social media, one viewer said: "First gut instinct Eiffel Tower is Kim Cattrall."

Writing in agreement, a second penned: ‘’Kim Cattrall? Abbey Road references (she was born in Liverpool where The Beatles were from) and Sex And The City."

Bubble Tea

Also on the list and in the show’s line-up is Bubble Tea, and fans are convinced Emily Atack is hiding behind the bright and bubbly costume.

It came after the star crafted a riddle and referenced The Inbetweeners during the show.

The character presented the riddle: "When the bubbles swirl and the great wind whirls, I once leant my voice to the sound of lamb curls."

Following this fans rushed to social media, with one writing: ‘’Bubble tea is defo Emily Atack!"

A second said: ‘’Emily Attack. In-betweeners clue.’’

Another name that has come up a lot is the lead singer of pop band Culture Club - Boy George.

Taking to Instagram, one viewer wrote: ‘’Boy George!’’

It comes after The Masked Singer viewers also shared theories that Big Foot is actually legendary TV presenter Bill Oddie.

After the human-sized insect made their debut on the show with Reef's 90s anthem Place Your Hands, viewers were quick to share their theories.

One viewer commented on X: "Dizzee Rascal for #Cricket."

Meanwhile, other names in the frame to be Cricket include Levi Roots, Simon Webbe and Seal.

There was also speculation that the critter was hiding Greg James.

After Cricket's moment in the spotlight, The Masked Singer judges also had some guesses about the character's identity.

Davina McCall thought it could be Jay Blades, citing the "blades" of grass in his entrance VT as her reason.

The character then revealed his riddle, saying: "I hope my performance was bowling you over, like when I got dizzy while perched on a sofa."

This left the panel confused and Jonathan Ross subsequently changed his pick to comedian Vic Reeves.

Dippy Egg

The Masked Singer fans are also sharing their guesses on Dippy Egg.

Guesses have also included Emmerdale’s Bob Hope actor Tony Audenshaw.
