I gave my tiny bathroom a one-day DIY makeover using B&Q bargains – I even had time to make my own mirror
A DIY fanatic transformed her small bathroom in just one day with B&Q buys - and people are "in awe" of the finished result.
Victoria is a full-time doctor by day and spends her spare time renovating her family home, sharing the progress with her 40,000 followers on Instagram (@_victoriahomes).
And she always aims to make the most of her time when it comes to makeover projects.
She said: "Life can be busy and with work taking up such a large chunk of my day it’s so easy to think that I don’t have enough time to live out my DIY dreams."
But with an extra day in February, Victoria tasked herself with decorating the downstairs loo in her home in just 24 hours.
She had already fitted the room with a new toilet, sink, tiles and units - but it still needed the finishing touches.

So the savvy doctor panelled the walls, applied wallpaper, fitted coving and even made her own mirror.
Talking through her day, she said: "First I’m going to order everything online on B&Q.
"Then once I’ve ordered everything I go into the store to pick it up.
"Honestly, having everything under one roof makes this job so much quicker
"So now it’s time to get to the DIY work."
She added: "In a day’s work we’re able to achieve some panelling, some wallpapering and we’ll even manage to make a mirror, hang the mirror and put up some coving."
Social media users are loving Victoria's finished look and insisted she makes DIY look easy.
One said: "In one day!!! I am in awe. Everything single thing we think we can do in a day takes at least four."
A second wrote: "Well done! You made it look so easy."
A third added: "That looks stunning. You must be so proud."
Meanwhile a fourth echoed: "You’ve done such an amazing job! I would never have thought of taking on a bathroom project but you make it look so effortless. Well done."
Victoria's one-day project comes as research found that almost 40% of Brits would start a DIY project if they had more time.
In fact, a third (36%) already have at least one unfinished project on the go, with lack of time being the number one reason projects are abandoned or delayed.
With 80% of people interested in making home improvements, nearly two-thirds (64%) have doubts that they can make them.
When asked about what would motivate them to restart their projects, ‘dedicating more time’ lead the way (25%), followed by having clear, step by step-instructions (23%), great value products (21%), quick access to materials (17%) and having support from family and friends (14%).
And revealing why projects get paused, needing more time was also the number one reason, closely followed by cost.
So B&Q has been empowering the nation to reclaim their Leap Day this year, by using the extra day to start or finish their DIY projects.
A spokesperson at B&Q said: “We know that 64% of people have doubts about doing a DIY project and with this new research telling us that lack of time stops people from starting or finishing them, B&Q want to empower the nation to get started by launching the first ‘You Can Do It’ day.
"This year we have an extra day, so what better reason to tackle the projects you’ve been staring at for months.
"Overcoming that doubt and believing that you can do it, is made easier when you have products and advice at your fingertips.
