My scalp was drier than the Sahara desert – but my $9 hair solution slayed, I haven’t seen a flake since
A BEAUTY pro with a dry scalp has eliminated dandruff for good since she found a $9 game-changer.
She said her head used to be full of flakes, but they've been eradicated since she discovered a new hair hack.
TikToker Marley (@marleyandme) doesn't have to worry about scalp residue.
Marley learned about the solution after sharing a hair tutorial on TikTok.
"I had the driest scalp known to men. Like, it was giving Sahara Desert," she said.
Everyone was giving her recommendations about which shampoo to try, but the only thing that worked was a serum.
Marley put a few drops of The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner on her scalp before taking a shower.
It costs $8.70 and is branded as an "acid toner that smooths skin texture, evens tone, and enhances luminosity."
It's touted as a face product, but Marley used it differently.
"I just put it in my hair, I let it sit there for a little bit,
and then I wash like normal," she said. "I have not seen a flake since."
Marley said she doesn't like dandruff shampoos because they "dry the f**k out of my hair."
But she doesn't have that experience with The Ordinary's product.
"It's a chemical exfoliant, so it takes off all that dead skin on the surface, baby, which I needed," she said. "Now I'm flake free."
"So if you're dry skin girly or dry scalp girly, go get that," she finished.
People in the comments section were excited to try the trick.

Marley wrote that she uses the product one to two times a week, depending on how many times she washes her hair.
