I’m A Celeb launch in chaos just seconds into show as viewers boycott it
THE I’m A Celebrity launch was left in chaos this evening as viewers turned off straight away.
Unhappy fans vowed to switch off because of Nigel Farage’s participation – and it wasn’t long until the hashtag ‘boycott I’m A Celeb’ was trending.
Taking to Twitter as Ant and Dec kicked off the show, one person wrote: “I can't watch this year, couldn't watch last year. Shame on @antanddec for platforming hate. #BoycottImACeleb.”
A second said: “Sorry not watching this year, for the first time ever! #BoycottImACeleb.”
While a third added: “Lost interest this year because of nigel farage thank you for ruining it tbh i lost interest last year #BoycottImACeleb.”
Nigel’s Twitter account hit back and pointed out that there were over 20k tweets about the man himself but only five thousand for the trend.

They wrote: “Good to see the boycott’s going well then….”
Speaking before he entered the jungle, Nigel said he is out to prove he’s no “mean-spirited, nasty little Englander”.
The ex-Ukip politician believes his decade-long campaign for the UK to leave Europe left him “demonised” by the public.
The 59-year-old said: “My crime was to stand against an establishment view. I was for many years the lone voice saying Europe wasn’t where we should be, so I’ve been a little bit demonised.
“I am hoping those who hate me might hate me a little bit less afterwards. But it’s a gamble. And the idea that somehow the things I represent — mean-spirited, small-minded, nasty, the ‘little Englander’ — all those accusations that have been flung at me over the years just aren’t true.
“If we can dispel some of those misconceptions, then that will be a good thing too.”
Nigel is said to have been the highest paid celeb of all time – with a huge £1 million pay cheque.
