Ford Capri in incredible condition after being left in a garage for 25 years up for sale for huge price
A STUNNING Ford Capri that was left in a garage for 25 years has gone up for sale at a huge price.
The model was specially built in an extremely limited run to allow the brand to use a racing version on the international circuit.
The RS3100 was only produced between November and December 1973.
This example, registered in 1974, is one of just 250 to ever roll off production lines.
Indeed, Ford only made that many as it was the requirement for a modified version of the RS3100 to be entered into touring car races.
The listing on Piston Heads describes it as a "rare Fast Ford that has a genuine pedigree and thirst for speed."

Finished in "Sebring Red", the motor is in remarkable condition, with every aspect completely immaculate.
This is, no doubt, largely due to the passionate care of the current owner, who first bought it in 1999.
Since then it has been kept in a garage, leaving only for regular servicing and maintenance.
As a result, it has clocked up an unbelievable mileage of just 287 in a quarter of a century.
To put that into perspective, that works out to just 11.4 miles a year.
The listing added: "Developed for racing, the RS3100 is a rare Fast Ford that has a genuine pedigree and thirst for speed.
"The Ford Capri had already placed itself in the nation's hearts by the time the car started making waves in the world of motorsport.
"Europe's answer to the Mustang, the Capri was available from 1969 and became an instant hit, thanks to Ford's clever marketing, but also its reputation of durability, ease of use, availability and sheer number of options and configurations available.
"Verified as an original RS3100, it is standard with a handful of reversible modifications.
"Neatly presented, it offers the new owner a solid and well-cherished car that could be further improved."
Being over 40 years old, the car is also exempt from MOT and road tax requirements but comes complete with a 12-month MOT.
However, the pristine Ford doesn't come cheap, with a guide price of £49,950.
It comes after another ultra-limited edition Capri went up for sale for even more after having just two owners.
