Pensioner, 82, dies days after vicious street attack as cops arrest teens, 15 & 16

AN 82-YEAR-OLD pensioner has died days after a vicious street attack.

Cops have arrested two boys aged 15 and 16 after the elderly man was assaulted in Slough on Tuesday last week.

The man was attacked on a quiet residential street and died from his injuries yesterday morning.

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Slough, were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of causing GBH with intent.

Both teens have been released on bail and cops have now launched a murder probe.

The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist cops.

Formal identification of the man is yet to take place, Thames Valley Police said.

Detective Inspector Nick Hind said: "Firstly my thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.

"We believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public."

DI Hind appealed for anyone who saw the attack or who has information, CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
