Savvy mum reveals how she does her son’s packed lunch for 11p… and why it pays to shop on a Sunday
A SAVVY mum has revealed how she does her son's packed lunch for just 11p.
The mother made the revelation when a woman took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to share her reduced haul from the Co-op.
Louise posted a picture of her shopping, as she wrote: "£7.55 for all of this at the Co-op, reduced bit (the dogs ham was not reduced)".
In the snap was some white bread, chicken breasts, turkey thigh mince, fishcakes, lemon drizzle muffins, carrots and potatoes.
And in the comments section, the mum revealed her nifty trick.
"I get my son's packed lunch every Sunday, sandwiches as low as 11p!" she wrote.

"Absolutely brilliant," the poster replied.
"I love a bargain and its saves an absolute fortune - which we all need to do at the minute."
"My local co op always has tons of reduced stuff my freezer is always packed full of it," another said.
"I’ll have to pop in next Sunday morning!" a third wrote.
"If I ever wanted to see my sister, all I had to do was be at the co-op for 6pm when they lowered the price on the orange labels!" someone else said.

To which Louise replied: "I've been really lucky!"
"Love the dog's ham," someone else laughed.
"I buy extra for the dogs too. They always get a slice or two when making a sandwich!"
"He's obsessed when he hears me open the packet, can't leave him out!" Louise responded.
To which the woman replied: "Mine's the same!
