‘Get loads!’ shoppers say as they find 89p Easter eggs in their local supermarket & they’re not rubbish chocolate either
SHELLING out on Easter eggs can be a pricey business.
So it's little wonder that shoppers are racing to stock up on chocolate eggs, after spotting them for just 89p a pop in their local supermarket.
Danni took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share a snap of the two Easter eggs she'd picked up in Farmfoods in Wythenshawe.
While the Cadbury's Caramel Nibbles egg was 99p, the Cadbury Freddo one was even cheaper - at just 89p.
She added that staff there told her the deal was going on across all Farmfoods stores.
Others took to the comments section to say they'd also found some other 89p eggs in the store - the white chocolate Cadbury Buttons egg, and a Milkybar egg.

"I got both of these for 89p each at Farmfoods," one person wrote.
"I just paid £1.50," another fumed after shelling out almost double for the same egg in a different store.
"I really need to go!" a third insisted.
While someone else tagged a friend and said: "Go get loads for our army of kids haha!"
For anyone who doesn't have a Farmfoods local to them, the small eggs are also being sold for 99p in Heron Foods.
One delighted shopper shared a snap of their haul from Heron Foods, which included a pack of eight small cans of Diet Coke for just 99p.
Easter is obviously a time of year that children are inundated with chocolate eggs - but there are some that are healthier than others.
In a study from Fruity King, they examined the sugar and calorie content of 175 different Easter eggs, comparing nutritional values per 100g and calculating the total for the whole egg.
Topping the list in terms of sugar, the Skittles milk chocolate egg was found to have a staggering 74g of sugar per 100g of chocolate.
Comparatively, a single serving of the egg - estimated to be around 45g - contains 33g of sugar, exceeding the recommended daily sugar intake by 10%.
And if you were to eat the entire egg in one go, it would be the equivalent of eating 39 teaspoons of sugar.
The Milky Way egg is second on the list, with 64g of sugar per 100g, followed by Cadbury's Caramilk and white chocolate Buttons eggs in joint third place - with 63g sugar per 100g each.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...
Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.
Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
Meanwhile, the egg that topped the list in terms of calories is the Ferrero Rocher Golden Easter Egg, with 625 calories per 100g.
The entire egg contains 1,563 calories - 78% of your recommended daily intake.
