  • Jadon Sancho offered way out

    Barcelona are considering a loan move for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho in the final days of the transfer window, according to Sport.

    They claim that despite United’s insistence on a permanent sale, “some clubs are convinced that he could end up going out on loan” as the end of the window approaches.

    Barca’s sporting director, Deco, “is also keeping an eye on this situation because he is a player who, on loan, could be a good deal for FC Barcelona”.

    It is mentioned that Sancho’s very high salary would be a problem for the cash-strapped Catalans to overcome but there is an acceptance that his wages “would have to be assumed in full” by them.

  • Arsenal seek attacking reinforcements

    Arsenal are reportedly lining up a shock move to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.

    And according to Sportitalia, the Gunners think that Lookman could be the right man to add to their ranks in order to take them one step further in the league.

    They claim that Arsenal are planning a £43m bid for the Nigerian international.

    It's also said that the north London club would be willing to throw out-of-favour defender Jakub Kiwior into the deal as a makeweight.

    Ilkay Gundogan has arrived back in England ahead of sealing his free transfer to Manchester City from Barcelona.

    The midfielder was pictured signing autographs for fans after returning to Manchester.

    He was spotted leaving a restaurant where he met City manager Pep Guardiola.

    The pair held a 50-minute meeting at TAST Restaurant in Manchester, which is owned by the Spaniard.

    City have agreed terms with Gundogan ahead of a dramatic return to the Etihad Stadium.

    The Premier League champions have seen off rival interest from Turkish sides Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

    Tottenham are reportedly still considering signing another midfielder before the transfer window closes.

    Fabrizio Romano said: "They are very happy with Lucas Bergvall, the impact of Bergvall has been excellent.

    "And they believe they signed a top, top talent for present and future, ready for Premier League impact.

    “So they are still considering that internally."

    Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker reckons Ivan Toney be a good signing for Spurs' bitter rivals Arsenal.

    "I like Ivan Toney a lot,” he said on his Stick to Football podcast. “I think he’s super talented and gives you a completely different from what else they’ve got.

    “He’s a real threat and technically a really good footballer so I think he would fit in at Arsenal.

    ” Once you’re at the stage where a player is left out, the writing does appear to be on the wall.”

    And according to Sport Italia, the North Londoners are preparing to table an offer for the 26-year-old.

    Nottingham Forest have signed Alex Moreno from Aston Villa on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

    The 31-year-old Spaniard cost Villa £13.3million when he signed from Real Betis in January 2023.

    Bruno Fernandes has revealed he received multiple offers to leave Manchester United before he penned a new deal with the Red Devils.

    The Portuguese told ESPN: "This vote of confidence from the club was very important for me.

    "Even because I was approached [by other clubs], the club was aware that there was a possibility of me leaving, I had concrete offers."

    Ex-Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit reckons Conor Gallagher is likely to be “p****d off” at his Stamford Bridge axe this summer.

    The England midfielder completed a £34million move to Atletico Madrid this week after being frozen out by Enzo Maresca.

    Frenchman Petit said of Gallagher's situation in an interview with Android Poker Apps: “Chelsea should try to keep Conor Gallagher. In modern football, sometimes you don’t have an Englishman in the starting XI and Chelsea need his English presence in the squad.

    “It really reminds me of the Mason Mount situation, both players were happy to stay at the club and both have been forced out.

    “Gallagher, alongside Cole Palmer, was the only positive player last season. Even if he leaves Chelsea, I don’t want to see him leave the Premier League.

    “He deserves more than what’s happening to him with Atletico Madrid. Gallagher belongs in England, he’s built up his career through loan moves and then became captain at Chelsea.

    “He deserves better than this. Why are Chelsea getting rid of their best midfielder for loads of unknown young stars?

    Chelsea will listen to offers for Raheem Sterling two years after signing him from Manchester City in a £50m deal, according to Sky Sports News.

    Sterling was taken to one side by Enzo Maresca after training on Friday and told he was not in the head coach’s first-team plans.
