I used to weigh 23st but lost 11st thanks to an air fryer meal I had every day, now I compete in bikini competitions
A WOMAN has shared an easy air fryer meal that helped her shed a whopping 11st - and it's been a staple in her diet ever since.
At her heaviest, fitness enthusiast Emma found herself tipping the scales at a staggering 23st - but after a doctor insisted she's only be able to lose weight with a gastric bypass, the young woman decided to prove the medical expert wrong.
“When I was 330 pounds (23 stone), a doctor told me that the only way I would be able to lose weight is with weight loss surgery,'' Emma recently opened up on TikTok.
“People seem to not believe that this encounter happened – I remember it so vividly and I will explain it to you.
“I was actually on the operating table about to go in for surgery to get my tonsils out and the anesthesiologist was frustrated because my arm was too big and he needed to go and get a bigger size blood pressure cuff.”
It was at this pointthat the doctor issued their warning.

Emma continued: “As he was going to get a new one he said, ‘Oh, the only way you’re going to be able to lose all of this weight is with a gastric bypass'.''
When Emma, from the USA, heard these words, she broke down - but she realised she needed to turn her life upside down and take drastic action to improve her health.
“And that was a big push just to prove him wrong that I could do it on my own – and to prove myself wrong.
“I just needed to put my head down, work, stay consistent and disciplined and get to it.”
As well as changing her fitness habits and becoming a fan of intense boxing sessions at the gym, Emma made sure her diet was on point too.
One of the meals that helped her body to go from a size 14 to a size 16, she recently shared on her platform, was a super simple air fryer dish.
The easy peasy air fryer potatoes, she said in her video, is something she's eaten ''every single day'' of her weightloss journey.
The recipe calls for a few spuds which you first chop into fry-sized shapes, a bit of olive oil spray, which has ''way less calories'' than the real thing, as well as your favourite seasoning.
Once you've combined it all, chuck the fries into the appliance and let it cook for 14 minutes at 160, Emma instructed fellow foodies.
''I would keep an eye on these though because they tend to get crispy quick.
''And then you have it - my beautiful air fried potatoes. Enjoy!''
Needless to say, the hard efforts have indeed paid off, as Emma even entered a bikini competition earlier this year, which she totally smashed, winning the trophy at the end.
