The Morning Live presenter, 47, will hit the rink for Gethin and Helen’s Wheely Big Challenge - a 24-hour roller-skating challenge in aid of Comic Relief today alongside broadcaster Gethin Jones.

"This time tomorrow, we are going to be lacing up for 24 hours of roller skating for Comic Relief", Helen told BBC's Morning Live.

"You know what, I was really naively excited about this, but I'm a bit scared now. It's going to be tough."

Meanwhile, Radio DJ and reality star Jamie Laing is over halfway through his comic relief challenge - a 150 mile run from Kegworth to Matlock, which you can follow at our live blog here.

  • Gethin wants to channel inner Becks

The presenter joked that he will do his Comic Relief challenge in his pants after being inspired by David Beckham.

Asked what would help Helen keep going when things got tough, Gethin joked: “David Beckham from his new advert.”

He continued: “Can we just talk them – how amazing is he looking?”

Helen teasingly said his toned body was down to roller skating and Gethin replied: “I'm on it.

“My God, buy me some pants now as motivation.”
