GMB viewers spot ‘secret plan’ to keep Piers Morgan away from rival Alex Beresford on ITV return – did you see it?
GOOD Morning Britain viewers have called out a "secret plan" by ITV bosses to seemingly keep Piers Morgan away from telly rival Alex Beresford.
It came as The Sun columnist and Piers Morgan Uncensored host made his grand comeback to the ITV daytime show on Monday four years after storming off the set and quitting.
Piers, 59, was met with an awkward hug from former work "wife" Susanna Reid, 54, on the Good Morning Britain sofa - before he embraced her new co-host Ed Balls, 58.
Despite the reunion of the former hosts, fans were more distracted by what they hailed a "good move" by ITV bosses.
It came as Piers' arch rival Alex, 44, was sent out to present the weather on location - rather than in the cosy surrounds of the studio.
Back in 2023, Piers blasted Alex as a “treacherous little p***k” after the pair fell out over two years ago.

Their feud started over comments made by Piers in the aftermath of Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
GMB star Alex criticised Piers' take on the explosive interview, which they discussed on the ITV morning show the day after its airing.
Alex's remarks prompted a dramatic exit from Piers, who stormed off the set.
During Monday's GMB fans took to X to comment on the fact Alex was in a rather chilly Marlow.
The weather man wrapped up in a chunky black puffa coat with a blue jumper worn underneath to keep snug.
One fan posted on social media: "Good move to send Alex Beresford out on location, knowing that Piers was coming in."
A second posted: "Piers Morgan in the studio. Is that why Alex is outside?"
A third then put: "Seems Alex Beresford has been put out in the cold as Piers Morgan is in the studio. Wonder who’s idea that was?"
Another mused: "Poor Alex being chucked out in the cold because Piers is in the studio."

STARK WORDS
Recently, in a chat with Amol Rajan, Piers rehashed their argument, saying he walked out on GMB so he wouldn’t lose his temper completely.
He said: “I don't mind a guest doing that but I do object to someone who had asked to come on the show, who was on the team, who then makes a very personal attack on me.
“And so at that moment I thought there are two things that are going to happen here.
“Either I’m going to lose my rag and do something I regret - or I’m going to go and walk off.”
After the argument Piers was off-screen for almost 20 minutes, but later returned, slamming Alex for "launching a personal derogatory attack" on someone that he works with.
When asked what would have happened if he had stayed on screen, Piers said: “I don't like think about what I would have done.
“I was certainly looking at him thinking ‘Yeah I better leave the room’.
“Just for the record, I think he was a treacherous little p***k.
“So he can say what he likes about me. He absolutely has a right to his opinion.
“That is my opinion about him.”
During the debate, Alex responded to Piers' claims that he used to talk to Meghan and she "dropped him" once she started dating Prince Harry.
He said: "I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle, you've made it so clear a number of times on this programme, and I understand you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off."

But Piers replied: "I'm not having this."
Piers later quit his hosting role after six years, as he refused to apologise for his remarks regarding the Duchess of Sussex.
