Sainsbury’s suffers major ‘technical issue’ across UK stores leaving frustrated customers without their groceries

SUPERMARKET giant Sainsbury's says it will be unable to fulfil most of its online grocery orders.

It comes after a "technical issue" is affecting stores with fans claiming they are unable to pay at tills and that some stores are even shut.

The glitch has also seen Sainsbury's lose its ability to fulfil most online orders and the supermarket says it will contact customers.

A spokesperson said: "We are currently experiencing a technical issue affecting some stores, our Groceries Online service and our ability to contact customers directly.

"Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfil the vast majority of today's Groceries Online deliveries.

"We are working hard to fix the issue and apologise to our customers for the inconvenience. We will contact customers proactively to rebook orders as soon as we can."
