Ian Wright and Piers Morgan lead desperate Arsenal fans’ transfer pleas as Gunners miss huge chances in Liverpool loss

IAN WRIGHT and Piers Morgan claim Arsenal need a "killer" as fans demanded new strikers following wasted chances in Liverpool's 2-0 win.

The "frustrating" Gunners crashed out of the FA Cup to a late own goal from Jakub Kiwior and Luis Diaz's cool stoppage-time finish.

Sun columnist Morgan posted: "Best football Arsenal have played all season but same old problem - no striker who knows how to score goals. Incredibly frustrating."

And Gunners' attack legend Wrighty also went on X to say: "We need a killer."

One fan responded by saying: "We need a Drogba or another Ian Wright.

Another joked: "GET YOUR BOOTS ON IAN!!!!!"

And a fourth supporter fumed: "It’s just the same old story. Make chances for fun, miss them for fun."

And as Morgan digested Arsenal's third-round exit he went into detail with his transfer demands for this month.

The TalkTV presenter wrote: "We didn’t need a new goalkeeper, and we definitely didn’t need Havertz for £67m. We needed a proper striker. This awful run is on you.

"@m8arteta - stop being so stubborn and sign someone who can score goals, or our whole season will be over very soon."

Most Gunners' fans online seemed to agree.

One posted: "A lack of a striker who can consistently find the back of the net."
