Boy, 5, has SCALP ripped off by neighbour’s XL Bully that ‘leapt on him without warning’ in horror attack
A FIVE-year-old boy had his scalp ripped off by a neighbour's XL Bully when it allegedly leapt on him without warning.
Teddy was savaged by the beast at a property in Hull on Monday after he and his mum were invited round to "see the new dog".
Moments later, the hound reportedly pounced on the youngster - sinking its teeth into Teddy's arms and head.
The schoolboy was rushed to hospital where he needed skin grafts and was monitored for four days.
Terrified older sister Casey, 22, said the family are "heartbroken" following the "unprovoked" mauling.
She said: "Obviously we’re all heartbroken but very thankful that the injuries my brother sustained were not more serious.

"I think a lot of people are under the impression that Teddy must have been antagonising the dog - which is absolutely not true.
"He was told he could enter the house by those living at the address and did so chaperoned by his mother and another adult."
Cops have since told Casey the dog was not registered to their neighbours, but to someone else, she claims.
Humberside Police seized the dog after the horror.
Detective Chief Inspector Allison Sweeting said: "We are working closely with the boy’s family and the owner of the dog to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"At this stage, the breed of dog is believed to be an XL Bully type and it has been seized as part of our enquiries.”
Since February 1 it has been illegal to own, breed, sell, exchange, gift or rehome an XL Bully in England and Wales without a certificate of exemption.
The breed was outlawed after it was accused of being behind the deaths of 11 people in just three years.
The hound was also alleged to have mauled many others.
All XL Bullies must be registered and they must have a muzzle on if they're out in public.
Owners and their dogs now face strict punishments without a certificate.
