All you have to do is sign up for a Sparks account, which you can do easily through the website or the app.

Starting on December 1, you have 24 hours to open each door of the calendar to find out what kind of prize you’ve won.

Shoppers who open all 12 doors are also in for a chance to win a cash prize at the end, which is a whopping £10,000 M&S gift card.

Getting the app makes this all the more easier to do as you can set a reminder for each day of the month to open the door.

Plus, it allows you to reveal the previous door’s offer.

Money-saving expert Martin Lewis spoke out about it on his own TV programme: The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.

He said: "The M&S Sparks offer has been going on for a few years and has been confirmed to happen again this year.

"From memory last year some people got free gin, chocolates, mince pies and discounts."

People on social media have shared their excitement over the return of the offer as TikTok user @hannah_nyomi revealed: “Last year people were getting bottles of gin for free.

“I got a shortbread biscuit box in like a little light-up lantern, there are so many offers and so many freebies.”

Meanwhile, there are currently loads of Christmas-themed foods in M&S, including Christmas ground coffee blend, hot chocolate bombs, and gingerbread mug hangers.

They also have spiced tea, chocolate and orange swirl spread, a gingerbread Christmas tree and Christmas Colada.
