STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have insisted “we have our winner” as the latest show signing sparked a fix row.
Jamie Borthwick is a British actor famous for playing Jay Brown on EastEnders, and the award-wining star is set to appear on this year’s Strictly.
But since his name was announced, Strictly has been hit with fix rumours after the actor won the Strictly Come Dancing festive special.
The star triumphed in last year's Christmas Day Strictly episode with his professional partner Nancy Xu, 32, after they impressed the judges with their Quickstep.
Now, fans of the show have taken to Reddit to suggest they “have their winner” because Jamie won at Christmas.
Beneath a photo of Jamie’s Strictly reveal, one person wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen, we have our winner.”

Someone else said: “We've seen on the Christmas special that he's a great dancer. I'm predicting he'll be a finalist. He might even win.
“The pattern in Strictly tends to be the alternate gender winning from the gender the year before. Ellie won last year, prior to Ellie, Hamza won, prior to him, Rose won.... you get the drift.”
Another person questioned: “Then why did he do the Christmas special if he was just going to do the main show anyway?? I thought the excuse for switching back to new celebs for the Christmas special was that they couldn't fit Strictly in their schedules.”
A fourth commented: “I really enjoyed watching him during Christmas and think he’ll do very well.”
Jamie said he was overcome to have won the Glitterball trophy at the time, beating Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan, rugby player Danny Cipriani, historian Dan Snow, newsreader Sally Nugent and actress Tilly Amartey.
Head judge Shirley Ballas told Jamie: “If I could jump over this bar and quickstep around the room I would do it with you! I don’t have a paddle high enough for you.”
Craig Revel Horwood added: “Jamie you slayed me darling, you were Fab-U-Lous.”
Speaking after his win, Jamie said: “This is great, it’s been a wonderful experience, but we’re all winners here. This show is magic.”
Jamie will join the likes of Towie legend Pete Wicks, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and Morning Live’s Dr Punam Krishan on the upcoming series.
