Transfer news LIVE: Kalvin Phillips West Ham deal ANNOUNCED with shock clause inserted, Trippier latest

  • West Ham planning more business

Real Betis are interested in West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals.

The Spaniard, 27, could be set for a reunion with former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini, who is in charge at Betis and signed Fornals at the London Stadium in 2019.

The Hammers are keen to move a couple of players on this month in order to raise funds for Moyes to strengthen the squad before next week's deadline.

Said Benrahma, who has been a target for Lyon and Marseille, could also be sold so long as a replacement can be found.

West Ham have had an opening bid rejected for winger Ibrahim Osman at Danish club Nordsjaelland and are mulling over whether to return with a second approach.

  • United slip down rich list

Man Utd have fallen down the latest Deloitte rich list.

While Arsenal have remained in 10th place.

Real Madrid have moved above Man City as the richest side.

Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea are also in the top 10.

  • Red Devils eye Gallagher

Callum Wilson has emerged as a shock transfer option for Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

The striker could leave Newcastle in a cut-price deal before the end of the January transfer window.

His availability has put Chelsea, Arsenal and United on alert, the report adds.

  • Brighton line up Gil swoop

Brighton are keen on Tottenham misfit Bryan Gil.

Spurs paid Sevilla around £20million for the slender Spaniard in the summer of 2021.

But despite showing flashes of quality, Gil has never become a regular in North London.

He was loaned in 2022 to Valencia and then back to Sevilla last year, and Spurs are now ready to let him leave permanently.

  • Exclusive - Smith Rowe wanted by Germans

SunSport can exclusively reveal that RB Leipzig are tracking Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.

Our source said: “Leipzig would love to take Emile on loan. He’s a player they’ve identified who they believe could help improve them and boost their chances of taking them to the Champions League.

“But Mikel Arteta is undecided. Emile is not part of his first team plans, but he still thinks the boy could have a part to play in their title charge.

“As always a lot of this will come down to the player. If he tries to force a move then the club may have to make a decision because Arteta has always been clear - he only wants players who want to be at the club and fight for their place.”

  • New injury nightmare for Dele

Dele Alli may have played his last game for Everton.

"The last action against Everton he was injured. For the next weeks he is not going to be available."

Steven Davis has called time on his record breaking career and retired at the age of 39.

The Northern Ireland captain and Rangers midfielder is Britain’s most capped player with 140 international appearances spread across 18 years.

Davis said: “It’s a strange sensation today, but ultimately it has been at the back of my mind given the nature of the injury and my age.

“I did some testing four weeks ago and I realised I was still a little bit away. It feels like the time is right and I’m comfortable with it.”

  • Lampard questions Mount's United move

Frank Lampard admits he has doubts over Mason Mount's Man Utd move from Chelsea.

He said: "The only worry I had with him when he went to United was where do Bruno Fernandes and him fit? Bruno is the captain of the football club, plays in the same position and hardly gets injured.

“Then have Casemiro. I know it’s starting to develop already and change away from that as an idea, but you could kind of think, where does he fit?

"This is not to dig Mason or Man United actually for bringing him in, but for a player of that level and for that money, you have to go, 'This is the plan'.

"That’s what I would want to hear. My question would be, where does he fit?"

  • Phillips completes Hammers medical

Kalvin Phillips has completed his West Ham medical as he takes a huge step towards completing his January loan.

  • Crystal Palace prepare defender bid

Crystal Palace are weighing up whether they want to return with an increased bid for Adam Wharton after Blackburn rejected their £18.5million offer for the teenage midfielder.

Wharton, who signed a new five-year contract at Ewood Park in December after an outstanding campaign in the Championship, is wanted by Roy Hodgson after Cheick Doucouré was ruled out for the season in November.

And Sunderland transfer chief Kristjaan Speakman said: “We’ve got a really positive relationship with the boy and Manchester United.

“Could he improve the team? Yeah. Have we enquired? Yeah.

“We’ve kept in contact, of course we have, if not we’d probably have our heads on a stake!

“If the picture changes, we’ll be on it. He’s a tier one player and we’d be lucky if we get him on loan but I know he thoroughly enjoyed it here.”

  • Celtic star up for grabs

Brighton and Southampton are keeping tabs on Matt O’Riley’s situation at Celtic, according to Sportslens.

Atletico Madrid are being linked with a move but the midfielder knows he has plenty of options beyond that too. Atleti made initial moves over a deal that would see him sign on loan and then join on a permanent deal in the summer – and Inter Milan have also shown some interest in a similar sort of deal.

The loan aspect of it is of very little interest to Celtic, yet there is also the reality that any bid upwards of £20million for the player would be difficult to ignore.
