Hong Kong man arrested after 2 injured in knife attack at shopping centre, just 18 hours after another slashing

“One of them was allegedly carrying a knife and attacked the other two men, who were injured, but their injuries did not appear to be caused by the weapon that the suspect was carrying,” the insider said.

One of the victims suffered a dislocated arm, while the other sustained a head injury caused by glass fragments, he added.

The source said the suspect was arrested at the scene.

A police spokesman said all three men were sent to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong.

The source said the force was investigating the cause of the attack.

Police are treating the incident as a wounding, with detectives from the Kwun Tong criminal investigation unit following up on the case.

The suspected knife attack happened about 18 hours after passers-by and staff intervened when a man wounded a female cashier at a fast-food outlet in a shopping centre in Sha Tin.

Police said three men, including the 43-year-old suspect, were also injured in the scuffle.

The cashier and the three men were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.

Police said another woman working at the fast-food outlet was also sent to hospital to be treated for shock.
