Tragedy as boy, 5, dies in horror crash involving car and motorbike – with nine-year-old & two others rushed to hospital
A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy has died in a horror car crash involving a car and a motorbike - with three others rushed to hospital.
Cops said a KTM motorbike and a Ford Focus collided on the B4011 near Bicester in Oxfordshire at around 2pm yesterday.
The boy was a rear seat passenger in the Ford and died of his injuries at the scene.
His family are being supported by specialist cops, Thames Valley Police said.
The bike's rider, a man in his forties, was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.
A nine-year-old child who was a passenger in the Ford was treated for less serious injuries along with its driver, a woman in her thirties.
Cops are now appealing for witnesses or footage of the smash between the black Ford and the orange and white KTM motorbike.
Lead investigator Phil Hanham said: “Very sadly, as a result of this collision, a child has died of his injuries.
"His family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
"The thoughts of all of us at Thames Valley Police are with them at this extremely upsetting time.
"I would like to appeal to anybody who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
"I am particularly looking to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the area.
