Foodies race to M&S for cheesy hot cross buns, which people are calling the ‘best thing I’ve ever tasted’
THEY'RE certainly not "traditional" hot cross buns.
But Marks & Spencer's Extremely Cheesy buns are flying off the shelves - with some people calling them "the best thing I've ever tasted".
The butter-enriched buns are made with cheddar and red Leicester cheeses and come in a pack of four for £2.
Gi took to TikTok to share a slideshow of pictures of the M&S food she would "sell her soul for".
"These hot cross buns are the best thing I have ever tasted," she wrote.
"They live rent free in my head all year round!"

And people were quick to comment on the pictures, with one writing: "Ok I need the cheese buns!"
"You do need them!!!" Gi replied.
"Not seen the cheesy hot cross buns for ages," another added.
"Hopefully back in for Easter."
"All their hot cross buns are ELITE," a third commented.
"I love the chocolate M&S hot cross buns!" someone else wrote.
Elsewhere in Gi's rundown were the white wine, garlic and herb flavour pots, which she called "so tasty and amazing for crockpot dishes".
She loves M&S' salad dressings, as well as their chicken leg portions.
"You know how I feel about these chicken legs," she wrote.
"£1.50 for sooo much meat, doesn't shrink in the oven and it's DELISH!"
Gi's a regular buyer of the store's pasta deal, where you can get fresh pasta, sauce and bread for £7, as she said she can easily make 8 meals from it.
The M&S ketchup is also a must-buy, as she said: "Prefer this ketchup over Heinz tbh and it's only 90p!"
Gi concluded her rundown with the Festive Munch and the net bag of easy peeler satsumas.
"These easy peelers are a daily need in this house, I can't get enough of them!" she admitted.
People used the comments section to add their own M&S suggestions, but there were a lot of remarks about the 90p ketchup.
"The ketchup is sooooo good. Yum," one wrote.
"I'm converted to the tomato sauce from M&S," another added.
"Agreed, red sauce far nicer than heinz," a third agreed.
