Despite all the snogging going on in the villa, Islanders are all stopped from bringing chewing gum onto set.

It's led to laughs over Anton, who rose to fame on the hit dating show in 2019, constantly whipping out a bottle of breath spray in a bid to stay minty-fresh.

He even made host Maya Jama scream when he squirted some into his mouth after she sat next to him during filming.

Reporter at The Scottish Sun, Jordan Tennant, revealed: "Social media went absolutely crazy for it when he first went in the villa.

"He did reveal recently the real reason he has the breath spray, which is a bit of inside gossip for you.

"He said that the producers have banned chewing gum on the show.

"It's not very attractive to be smacking your gums with a bit of chewing gum in there.

"Although the breath spray is a little old fashioned, it was his mum who recommended it to him.

"He took lots of that in there with him in case he was doing a bit of grafting and needed a quick freshen up with some mint spray."
