Hairdresser leaves people itching as she shows her latest client where her comb is ‘chock full’ of ‘big juicy crawlers’

A HARDRESSER has left people itching all over after showing the process of removing nits from one of her 'big job clients'.

Rachel Maroun, 22, from Sydney, Australia, works as a head lice technician and often shares clips of the most severe cases on social media.

She recently had one of her biggest jobs yet on her hands - a school girl with hundreds of eggs and nits nesting between her tresses.

"I can already tell this is going to be a big job since we've got a couple of crawlers and a lot of eggs," Rachel said before diving in.

The first step is to get rid of any knots in the hair, so the nit comb can glide through the hair easily, picking up even the smallest eggs.

The hairdresser then sections the hair down the middle, and starts working her way up from the bottom of the head.

"Lice love to lay their eggs here since it's always hot and sweaty, so I always call this section the nursery or the eggy area, and you can clearly see why," she said, showing how many eggs and lice came out after one brush through.

To make the process easier, Rachel applies a small amount of conditioner to the hair.

This helps the lice comb move through the hair easily, and it also means the dark lice stand out more.

The top section of the hair is even worse than the bottom, since that's where the living live tend to be.

"This is where we find the big juicy crawlers that always hide at the top of the hair," Rachel said.

Slowly but surely, less and less lice appeared on the comb as they were removed.

Rachel admitted that even though she's been doing her job for seven years she still isn't immune to getting a bit itchy when there's a lot of lice.

"You'd think after seven years you'd get used to it but you don't.

"I'm telling you, you just don't," she said.

She then repeated the process on the other side of the girl's head, then when she was finally satisfied there were no more lice or eggs she applied a "finishing magic gel".

The gel protects the hair while bedsheets, clothes and towels are being washed at home, so the lice don't return.

The video quickly went viral online, racking up over 1.4 million likes.

But despite so many people watching the clip, many thought it was gross.

"I genuinely think having lice is the most disgusting thing to ever happen to anyone ever," one person commented on the clip.

A second agreed: "No I hated every second of this my whole body itches."

"The fact you can see them moving ew," another wrote.

Meanwhile, others weren't convinced all the eggs and lice had been removed.

They said: "How can you tell they're all gone? What if one moves or you miss a few eggs?"

"Brb going to wash my hair," another joked.
