"Bought this dress for £10 (£15 including shipping and fees)," she wrote alongside pictures of the offending Vinted item.

"It arrived and has this stain on the back at the bottom (it’s a mini dress)."

She even added green-faced throwing up emojis.

And she went on to show the conversation she'd had with the seller, who was refusing to pay for return postage as she "doesn't want to be out of pocket".

"Hiya, sorry there's an issue with the dress," the seller responded.

"Didn't notice the mark at the hem of the dress.

"It can't be machine washed so must have just been missed.

"I highly doubt it's a bodily fluid, I have worn it once to a wedding and it probably had something splash down it.

"Apologies, have it sent back and get a refund."

"Could I please have a refund for the postage also?" the woman responded.

"I think you've picked the option where I pay for it myself instead of you paying for it."

"So you want me to be out of pocket for the return?" the buyer asked.

To which the buyer replied: "As you have sent a stained item, yes."

"I don't believe the item is significantly not as described, so I will not be sending the money," the seller insisted.

The buyer then concluded: "I hope none of your clothes arrive with what looks like bodily fluid on the groin area at the back anytime soon.

"I assume you'd keep it and not try to return it after all!"

People were quick to comment on the Reddit post, with one writing: "This is the problem with Vinted.

"Although you pay for 'buyer protection', there is no buyer protection."

"Just open a dispute with Vinted and flag your item as dirty," another said.

"They will handle it for you.

"I would not recommend initiating an out of app resolution."

"I had this with some body suit and yes there were very visible feminine stains on them," a third admitted.
