EMMERDALE newcomer John Sugden is hiding a huge secret - after he landed a job in the village.

The mysterious newcomer - who is played by actor Oliver Farnsworth in the ITV soap - is keeping a mysterious keepsake from his newfound sister Victoria.

With John working at the farm, Victoria arrived to have a chat with him asking him to consider to get to know her and her son.

John insisted: “I’m not looking to build a life around here.”

“And I’m not asking you to,” replied Victoria. 

“I just thought that if you had to stick around, and you kinda do, would it really hurt if we got to know each other?

“You know my dad never saw himself staying round here, he went to London, wrote a book. Not many people know that.”

She added: “My point is that this place and farming has been in our family for 100 years. It has a way of getting into your bones.”

Victoria tried to convince him to at least spend some time with her, before handing over a small tin she found in Harry’s room.

“I assumed it was yours, I didn’t open it,” she said as John rushed to open the tin.

“Is that a dog tag? Like from the army?” she asked.

“Yeah,” replied John.

“I don’t want to talk about that time in my life, that’s over.”

But as Victoria left, it was revealed the dog tags didn’t belong to John - and instead they had the name “Aidan Moore” on them.

That’s left fans wondering who Aidan Moore is and what John’s connection to him is?
