Late Paul O’Grady’s final project revealed as ITV announces documentary series and tribute show on anniversary of death
PAUL O'Grady's final project has been revealed as ITV confirm a documentary series and tribute will air in his memory.
The beloved comedian and broadcaster died a year ago this month, shocking the TV world and leaving fans distraught.
Paul, who was aged 67, died of cardiac arrhythmia at his home on March 28th.
Titled The Life and Death of Lily Savage, the 90-minute ITV special will chart his life and drag queen alter ego Lily Savage.
Paul's special doc will be told through the prism of his famous creation and set in the backdrop of 70s Britain.
For the first time Paul's daughter Sharyn Mousley will speak about her father in the doc.

The special will also reveal the real reason why Paul suddenly chose to kill his drag ego off after more than 20 years.
The tribute will air alongside Paul's final ever TV project which he recorded shortly before his death.
Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure is a two-part series following Paul as he travels through Thailand and Laos to celebrate the wonderful work done by elephant conservation centres.
The Sun previously revealed how ITV were working on a documentary to honour Paul.
Revealing the show, Jo Clinton-Davis, the controller of Factual at ITV said: “This blue chip feature-length documentary reveals the little known biography of Paul's alter ego Lily - from her birth in the docks of Liverpool to her mysterious 'death' on mainstream TV.
"Set against the background of social and political change and upheaval, it features Paul's own voice and those who were closest to him - including his daughter Sharyn.
"This is a layered and richly entertaining tribute to the wonderful Paul O Grady.”
Alison Hammond was recently announced as Paul's replacement for his beloved show For the Love of Dogs which will return in his honour.
