Gethin Jones and Sara Cox were keeping their fingers crossed the show could go ahead

The camera switched over to Gethin Jones and Sara Cox in the Manchester studio, where the Welshman revealed they'd had some drama already today.

He said: "Good Morning, Happy St David's Day to you. We're happy to be here actually, we had a power cut about an hour ago didn't we?

"So we're not sure if we'll be with you at half nine but we're keeping everything crossed."

Sara crossed her fingers and joked: "We looked quite nice in that dull light, we looked much younger it was great."

Naga chuckled and said: "There's a song like that isn't there? You look better in the dark?"

Sara replied: "I don't know, is there? Do you want to sing it for us, Naga?"

But Naga said: "No, no. I'm fine, but with all your music knowledge you must know what it sounds like."

Sara responded: "Okay Naga, I'll play it for you later," before Gethin chipped in: "We'll need some power for that though, won't we?"

Earlier this week, Morning Live fans were delighted to see Kym Marsh return to the show for the first time since the death of her father.
