I tried 20 different anti-aging eye creams – an $11 buy was among my favorites, it reduced puffiness & hydrated my skin
A SKINCARE enthusiast has tried 20 different anti-aging eye creams to see which performed the best.
Among her top six favorites was an $11 beauty buy that earned 4.5 stars out of five.
Shelby (@skincarewithshelbs) shared the thorough skincare review in a series of TikTok videos.
She was impressed by the $64 Murad Targeted Eye Depuffer, which she gave 4.5 stars.
"It's $64 so it just cannot be five stars," she explained, adjusting for the price point.
On top of the points for the packaging and the applicator, she also noticed improvement under her eyes.
"I really do see results with this but my God, $64, is that really necessary?" she asked.
At a lower price point, she gave the $37 Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado the same 4.5 score.
"I really did like how thick and hydrating this was. The consistency was dreamy and it did last me a really long time because you didn't need a lot of product," she said.
Although she enjoyed the Kiehl's, she still wasn't sure if she could justify the price.
The $11 The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream, however, blew her expectations out of the water and saved her money.
"I have been a longtime supporter of this product," she said.
"I feel like it really helps my puffiness and it helps keep my under-eyes really hydrated, especially in the winter."
In part three of her series, she revealed that another Murad eye treatment made her top six.
The $79 Murad Targeted Wrinkle Corrector proved to be her favorite out of "all the eye creams that are super expensive."
"I love the consistency and I feel like I've actually seen really good results in my fine lines," she said.
She admitted it was "100% a splurge but I have repurchased."
A cheaper eye cream she enjoyed just as much was the $23 Acure Ultra Hydrating Eye cream, which she rated 4.5 stars.
"This left my under-eyes so soft and smooth, it was so hydrating. I had gone through multiple bottles of this," she said.
In the fourth part of her review series, she gave the $44 OleHenriksen Banana Bright + Vitamin C Eye Cream four stars.
"I think it does a decent job at brightening up the under-eye but it's pricey at $44," she said.
"You need to give it time to work, don't give up on this product too soon."

Among the other 14 eye creams, she found that she was less impressed with picks from Beekman, First Aid Beauty, and Burt's Bees.
She also thought a $38 Paula's Choice and $54 SkinFix eye cream were not worth the price tag.
