Love Island winner reveals she’s returning to her day job away from fame – despite winning £50k prize a year ago
LOVE Island winner Sanam Harrinanan has revealed she's returned to her day job a year after winning the show.
She and teacher boyfriend Kai Fagan won a combined £50,000 on the winter edition of the dating series.
The couple, who live together in Manchester, have kept grounded since their rise to fame.
And Sanam has now revealed she's back doing what she loves the most, being a social worker.
She shared a get ready with me video on Instagram and captioned it: "LIFE UPDATE‼️ The last year has been the most amazing, unreal, exciting time of my life& as time goes on so much more is happening which I’m so excited for!!
"But one thing about me is I’ve always wanted to stay true to who I am and making a difference in peoples lives was a big part of it, which is why it feels important for me to add this back into my life, with everything else going on (AHHH!)

In the video, Sanam told how she's had the opportunity to work with a number of huge beauty brands since leaving the villa, starred on podcasts and attended glamorous awards ceremonies.
She said she still has three months to complete from her newly qualified year as a social worker, which she put on hold to enter the villa, and she'll document the work alongside her influencing on social media.
Followers were supportive of the move.
One wrote: "I love this!!! Your literally the only love islander i look up to! Wish you and Kai all the happiness in the world."
A second posted: "So proud of you!! We need more people like yourself who don’t fail on young children and adults in the system and wanting change they life for better."
A third said: "So happy you did this. Loved hearing about it."
Kai and Sanam recently took to Instagram to share a hilarious video of the pair recreating one of their many romantic moments around the fire pit while on Love Island.
Former PE teacher Kai declared his love for Sanam, and at the end joked he'd like to couple up with Helen from Tescos.
Sanam later revealed that filming the clip was "so embarrassing" as "everyone was watching" at the spa.
But he finished the sweet post by explaining how much he loves Sanam.
Kai said to camera: "It's been a year of me and Sanamie and I love her to pieces."
Kai captioned the post: "Recreating our little moment a year on… using our best year 7 drama skills. LOLLL no h8rs @cardenpark."
