Furious BGT fans insist show has broken rule as they demand huge change after semi-final
BRITIAN’S Got Talent fans have once again complained about the lack of British acts in the semi-finals.
Tonight’s show has already seen an act all the way from Canada – and those watching at home think there needs to be a huge shake-up next series and acts from elsewhere should be banned.
One person raged: “I think Britains Got Talent should be renamed Worlds got Talent with all the foreign acts performing it’s RIDICULOUS and shouldn’t be allowed.”
A second questioned: “Why is it still called ‘Britain’s’ got talent ? It’s open to anyone and most acts are from outside the UK time to revamp rules or rename the show!”
A third remarked: “#BGT should be renamed BFT - Britain Found Talent or BITFOC - Britain Invited Talent From Other Countries”
And someone else asked: “#bgt #britainsgottalent come on surely you need to actually live in Britain to be on @BGT_UK ? Most of the acts have come to uk just to enter the competition? Have we really no talent?”

"So #BGT wondering if #ofcom should be contacted over the false title !!?? So far 17 acts and only 10 are British!!??," said another.
The supposed lack of British talent has been a debate throughout the whole series, and viewers have even threatened to call Ofcom to report a "violation of the Trade Descriptions Act".
The show has seen a beatboxing group called Sarukani, a drone operator called Keiichiro Tani and then dance troupe Cyberagent Legit – who are all from Japan - compete, in a growing trend of international acts flying in to perform on the UK stage.
Out of the nine golden buzzer performers who were sent through to the semi-finals during auditions, only four are homegrown.
Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli made the decision to send them through - leaving fans surprised.
And so far the semi-finals have seen South Korean Blitzers, Japanese double-dutch group Haribow, South African opera singer Innocent Massuku and Korean martial arts group Sslaubi Performance Troupe, Canadian pogo stick performer Duncan Murray and Canadian Geneviève Côté.
Tonight also saw American sword swallower Heather Holliday perform.
A BGT spokesperson said: “Britain’s Got Talent is, and has always been, open to all, regardless of your age, where you’re from, or your level of experience. Over the course of the show’s 17 series history, we have seen acts audition to become renowned across the globe.
"It’s because of these incredible acts that BGT has a reputation globally for being the greatest talent show on television, and we will continue to welcome an array of brilliant acts for future series.”
