  • Jadon jets in to old club

Jadon Sancho landed in Dortmund last night to seal his loan switch from Manchester United, write CHARLIE WYETT and NEIL CUSTIS.

And former Red Devils striker Louis Saha has branded Sancho as one of United’s ‘biggest transfer failures of all time’.

The England winger will return to his old club in a deal until the end of the season, with the German giants paying just £3million in a loan fee and to cover part of his wages.

Dortmund returned from their winter break in Marbella on Tuesday and they travel to Darmstadt on Saturday evening for a Bundesliga clash — although the England international is unlikely to feature.

He has not played for United since August and was frozen out of the squad after a huge fall-out with chief Erik ten Hag.

Sancho, 23, was at Dortmund from 2017 to 2021, making 137 appearances for the club and recording 50 goals.

  • Martial 'eyes free transfer'

Anthony Martial wants to stay at Manchester United until he is a free agent next summer - even though Marseille, Fenerbahce, LaLiga clubs and Saudi teams are said to be hovering for the French striker this month.

The Red Devils are understood to have decided against their option of keeping the 28-year-old for another 12 months - up to 2024.

Sky Sports report that Martial and his representative have discussed his situation.

But the 30-cap star is apparently unwilling to depart old Trafford in the current transfer window.

  • 5 Championship stars set for Prem

Hayden Hackney’s midweek winner against Chelsea makes the Middlesbrough winger the latest Championship star to be eyed by Championship giants.

But the England Under-21 star does NOT make our list of five scorching-hot hot second-tier prospects who could make the step up.

    Here’s who we have picked:

    Jobe Bellingham (Sunderland)
    Conor Chaplin (Ipswich)
    Leif Davis (Ipswich)
    Stephy Mavididi (Leicester)
    Jaden Philogene (Hull)

  • Sevilla eye Hannibal loan with option to buy

Sevilla’s push to beat Everton to Hannibal Mejbri could include a key clause in his loan.

The Spaniards reportedly hope to include an agreement that the midfielder’s move can become permanent next season.

The Tunisian ace, 20, has started just three times in making 10 appearances in all for United this season.

  • Palace ‘back in for Nketiah’

Crystal Palace have reportedly revved up their interest in Eddie Nketiah with a loan bid.

Offloading the striker would help Arsenal bring in recruits as they struggle with financial restraints.

  • 'Aggressive Ivan ideal for Blues'

Chelsea have been urged to sign Arsenal target Ivan Toney – but not until the summer.

Ex-Blues left-back Wayne Bridge believes “aggressive and clinical” Toney needs time to regain his sharpness after his eight-month playing ban ends on January 17.

Former England star Bridge told BetVictor: “Chelsea need a striker, which is crazy when you look at the money that they’ve spent.

“I like Ivan Toney a lot. If he can get back his match fitness and score a few goals for Brentford for the rest of the season then he could be a great signing in the summer.

“I don’t think Chelsea should make any moves in January.

“I’d give it until the summer as in January you often end up paying over the odds and they need to avoid rushing into a decision this month like they’ve often done in the past.

“Look at when they bought Fernando Torres a few years back and how that worked out! They need to take their time.”

  • Jeremie hunt so serious for Gunners

Arsenal are “determined” to sign Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, Fichajes claim

The former Manchester City academy product has a £34million release clause that will kick in during the summer window.

Arsenal are limited in the moves they can make in January due to FFP.

  • Crocked Fred returns to Luton

Prem strugglers Luton have recalled winger Fred Onyedinma from his loan at Championship bottom side Rotherham.

The ex-Wycombe star, 27, played 19 times for the Millers this season until suffering injury.

  • 'Mbappe wouldn't rush Prem move'

Ex-Arsenal full-back Mikael Silvestre believes Kylian Mbappe will demand assurances over whether a club can win big competitions, should he move to the Premier League.

The Gunners and Liverpool have been linked with ambitious approaches for the PSG striker, despite claims Real Madrid have agreed a summer swoop with the French hero.

Silvestre told GGRecon: “He will want to be in a position where he can pick the best team and the best manager to give him the greatest chance of winning the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or, which are two things on his wish-list.

“He won’t rush his decision. If PSG win the Champions League this season, then he may consider staying in Paris, but we need to wait and see how they get on first against Real Sociedad in the round of 16.

“With Real Madrid and the Premier League teams, I think he’s going to wait and see."

  • Spurs 'agree Dier deal with Bayern'

Tottenham have reached a "verbal agreement" to sell Eric Dier to Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The England international, 29, has entered the final six months of his Spurs contract.

Dier has hardly featured under Ange Postecoglou, starting just once this season.

With Tottenham beating Bayern to a deal for Genoa defender Radu Dragusin on Wednesday, Dier could be on the verge of sealing a Spurs exit.

According to Sky Sport Germany, Dier has emerged as one of the Bundesliga giants' top targets.

He adds that Bayern would pay £3.5million for the out-of-favour ace.

  • Qat's out of the bag over Chelsea KO hope

BeinSPORTS' social media account suggested that they'd love this season's Carabao Cup semi-finals to have been one-legged... in order to dump Chelsea out.

The Blues slumped to a dismal 1-0 defeat at Championship side  Middlesbrough last night.

The two sides will reconvene at Stamford Bridge later this month, with Chelsea having the opportunity to turn the tie around.

From next season, two-legged semi-finals are set to be scrapped for the first time in the competition's 63-year history.

The change could see League Cup semi-finals played at neutral venues moving forward.

After Chelsea's defeat, beINSPORTS appeared to suggest that it would have been great to introduce the change this year... so that the Blues would be out.

The Qatari broadcaster wrote on social media: "Chelsea are so lucky this is the last year of two-legged semi-finals in the Carabao Cup…

"This is exactly why moving to one leg is the RIGHT move!"

  • Partey eyes return THIS MONTH

Thomas Partey reportedly aims to shrug off his latest injury woe by the end of January.

And the Mirror claim the 30-year-old could be just three weeks off full fitness.

  • Gotcha Borja?

Borja Mayoral could be Arsenal's first big January signing.

Former Man Utd youth coach Neil Wood recently became the fifth boss axed by the club in five-and-a-half years, former MK Dons and Oxford boss Karl Robinson coming in.

Appearing on Stick to FootballKeane asked Nev: "Who brought the managers in at Salford?" Neville replied: "The managers were me, Karen (Baird, former chairwoman] and Chris (Casper, sporting director)."

Keane, 52, then quizzed: "So, if you're on about managers getting players right or wrong, have you brought managers in and (later) thought, 'What was I thinking?'"

Neville said: "When I look at managers that we've brought in, I think that while some of them may not've been successful… Richie (Wellens) obviously we sacked but he went on to win a league (with Leyton Orient last season)."

Unimpressed, Keane butted in: "It doesn't matter if they win a league somewhere else. That's no good to you, is it?" Neville responded: "Yeah but my point is sometimes a manager doesn't work at a club, that can happen."

Lowly Salford have replaced Wood with former MK Dons and Oxford boss Karl Robinson.

  • Sancho arrives in Dortmund

Jadon Sancho landed in Dortmund tonight to seal his loan switch from Manchester United, write CHARLIE WYETT and NEIL CUSTIS.

  • Agent stunned as Radu picks Spurs over Bayern

Radu Dragusin left his agent in disbelief after rejecting more money at Bayern Munich to join Tottenham.

The Romanian defender is set to sign for £21.5million plus add-ons after Spurs agreed a deal with Serie A outfit Genoa.

Dragusin, 21, will become Tottenham’s second signing of the month after former Chelsea striker Timo Werner.

Spurs outcast Djed Spence will move the other way as he will join Genoa on loan for the remainder of the season.

However, the move almost fell through as Bundesliga giants Bayern made a late move to hijack the deal.

Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea revealed that the offer from the German side came while they were on the way to the airport.

  • Hugill signs new Utd deal

Prolific starlet Joe Hugill has signed a new Manchester United contract until 2026 with the option of another year.

The ex-academy striker, 20, was on the bench for Monday's 2-0 FA Cup win at Wigan.

He's also been linked with a loan move this month, having been borrowed by National League Altrincham for the final two months of last season.

United said in a statement: "He has developed well this season and trained regularly with the first team, while being on the bench four times."

  • Petit blasts Marquinhos

Gunners icon Emmanuel Petit has slammed winger Marquinhos.

The Brazilian, 20, has spent this season on loan at Nantes.

Asked about his progress, Petit told Dazn Bet: “There is no progress with Marquinhos at all. Nothing, nothing happened. You know why? It’s funny because yesterday, the manager, he spoke to the press about Marquinhos. He said [they] are fed up with him.

“This guy, as soon as he came in August, he left to play with the Brazilian team at the tournament.

“He came back injured and then now he’s fit, he wants to play again at the Olympic tournament with his national team.

“So he played only seven games, he didn’t make any impact. It’s been six months at the club, seven games in six months, and now he wants to leave and play for the national team again.”

  • Martial 'keen to snub January move'

Anthony Martial appears set on seeing out his Manchester United contract despite interest from Marseille, Fenerbahce, LaLiga clubs and the Saudi Pro League.

United have reportedly declined to trigger a clause extending the France striker's contract for 12 months beyond the end of the season.

Sky Sports say Martial and his agent have talked over his future.

And it appears the former Monaco man is reluctant to move on mid-season.

  • Palhinha admits he WILL leave Fulham

Chelsea and Arsenal target Joao Palhinha says he knows he WILL leave Fulham.

The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder has amassed incredible stats in his two years in England.

But Fulham persuaded Palhinha to sign a new contract last summer.

And he told Sky Sports in an interview with Jamie Redknapp: "I feel the love the supporters have for me.

"I know that some day I will leave Fulham.

"I want to give everything. I am always a 100% professional here."

Nemanja Matic is reportedly considering retiring from football after broken promises by Stade de Rennes.

Matic, 35, joined Rennes from Roma in a £1.7million deal and has featured in 19 matches in all competitions. The Serbian, however, is tempted to hang up his boots after a stand-off with the club, according to GFFN.

The report claims that the club's executives promised he could enrol his children into an international school. However, there is no school of that type in the French city.

The former Serbian international has three children with his wife Aleksandra, son Filip and daughters Anika and Tea.

Matic is said to feel that the promises have been broken and believes that his time at the club is over.

The report adds that the 35-year-old cleared out his locker at the club on Tuesday. He and his family were then spotted boarding a high-speed train that was headed for Paris.

Ouest-France has also claimed that Matic may be heading for London, where he has kept a house.

  • Onana on backburner

Arsenal's interest in Amadou Onana is reportedly on the backburner - amid claims Douglas Luiz and Joao Palhinha are their preferred midfield targets.

But speaking on his his YouTube channel, journalist Charles Watts suggested there have been no recent "intensive talks" with Arsenal.

  • 'Only 2 men can replace Ten Hag'

Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke can't see beyond two men as Erik ten Hag's successor.

The 1999 Treble winner believes Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi or Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane should be United's next manager.

The Red Devils have spluttered along since Alex Ferguson's glorious 27-year reign ended in 2013.

Ten Hag is the eighth man to boss United since Fergie bowed out with their last Prem crown.

Yorke, 52, told Footy Accumulators: “I think Roberto De Zerbi may have a chance, but that remains to be seen.

“He's one name to consider, but everybody else has had their chance. I don't see anybody outside of Zidane and De Zerbi.”
