‘Shots fired’ at Donald Trump rally with former president seen with blood covering face as Secret Service rushes stage
FORMER president Trump was left with blood running down the right side of his face after gunshots went off at his rally today.
Trump ducked as shots seemed to be fired at him while he was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In a short video clip of the event, several noises resembling gunshots can be heard in the background.
Audience members shouted "Get down" as the shots went off.
Secret Service immediately surrounded the former president the moment the shots went off.
Video footage shows the Secret Service rushing the presidential candidate into his SUV.
Trump left the stage pumping his fist in the ear as blood streamed down his face.
No update has been given on his condition.
Fellow Republican party members are already reacting to the news of the shooting.
"Praying for President Trump and everyone at the rally in Pennsylvania. May God watch over them all," Senator Tim Scott posted on X.
North Dakota Senator Doug Burgum posted, "Please join Kathryn and me in praying for President Trump, his family and everyone attending the rally today."
"We all know President Trump is stronger than his enemies. Today he showed it," he wrote in a follow-up post.
