Mosconi Cup format
A maximum of twenty matches to be played, first team to eleven wins the Mosconi Cup.
All matches are played over the best of nine racks.
Day One: One team match, two doubles matches and one singles match.
Day Two: Three doubles matches and two singles matches.
Day Three: Two doubles matches and three singles matches.
Day Four: One Doubles match and five singles matches.
Welcome to the Mosconi Cup 2024
The much-anticipated competition that pits Europe against USA starts this evening and everyone cannot wait for the action to get going.
Europe have been made favourites for this competition after winning the last encounter between the pair in emphatic fashion.
USA won the initial Mosconi Cup in 1994 and then won the next nine of the eleven events.
The teams are as follows:
Team USA - Skyler Woodward, Fedor Gorst, Shane Van Boening, Tyler Styer, Billy Thorpe.
Team Europe - Jayson Shaw, Eklent Kaci, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, David Alcaide, Mickey Krause.
This year’s event is being played at Caribe Royale, Orlando, Florida.
The pressure will be on the visiting European team looking to win the tournament on enemy territory.
