Superdrug staff reveal ‘secret’ bargain perfume dupes including perfect match for Mugler Alien that’s £61 cheaper

LET'S face it, perfume doesn't always come cheap - and if you use it every day, that becomes a big cost.

To help out shoppers, Superdrug staff have revealed their favourite fragrance dupes to "save you pennies".

Workers at the East Kilbride Retail Park branch in Lanarkshire, Scotland said: "We had many requests for all your fragrance fixes at an affordable Superdrug price.

"So look no further, we’ve got you.

"Save your pennies on expensive perfumes and try our popular dupes in store.

"If you can’t find what you’re looking for, ask our amazing employees."

Revealing their “Superdrug secrets”, staff said their Layering Lab body mists smells like a range of popular perfumes - but are priced at just £3.99 for 100ml.

First up, the shop workers said "at £3.99 you can smell like you’re wearing [Thierry Mugler's] Alien" with the Blossom spray, compared to £125 for 90ml of the real thing.

Next up, the drugstore staff revealed that Blossom Intense is a dupe for Alien Goddess Intense, which usually costs £130.

They added: "If you like [YSL's] Black Opium you’ll love our Exotic Layering Lab."

The savvy employees also said the Paradise spray smells just like Paco Rabanne's Olympea, while Sorbet is near identical to Viktor & Rolf Bonbon and Enchant is a dupe for Thierry Mugler's Angel perfume - but over £120 cheaper.

Moving along their frangrance aisle, they then shared snaps of their Fresh and Oriental bottles and asked: "Why spend all that money on DKNY Be Delicious or on Diesel Loverdose?"

They added: "We love Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle but even better when it’s the same for £3.99 [Layering Lab Sweetie].

"Same with Lancome Idole [Layering Lab Charm].

"PS Layering Labs are currently on buy one get one half price."

Next up, the Superdrug workers showed shoppers their Artiscent Atelier range - with 50ml bottles priced at £10, and 100ml costing £15.

But if you have a Superdrug health and beauty card, you're bagging a 50ml bottle for the "members price" of £6.66 or 100ml for a tenner.

Here, they said the patchouli passion scent is an imitation of Lancome's La Vie Est Belle, which costs £92 for 50ml.

Exotique musk is a dupe for Tom Ford's pricey £220 Santal Blush, and vanilla rush smells just like Dior Forever and Ever.

They also revealed that Chanel Chance lovers can pick up their lily amour fragrance instead, or spring fleur in place of Chloe's Chloe.

Gardenia doré is a dupe for Paco Rabanne Lady Million, and jasmine nuit is an imitation of Carolina Hererra's Good Girl.

And in the biggest saving to customers, precious amber is near identical to Baccarat Rouge 540, which costs £235 for 70ml.

Whether you're wearing a dupe or the real thing, there are few things more frustrating them spritzing yourself before a night out, only for the sweet scent to wear off within an hour or two.

But luckily for you, a Superdrug worker called Jess has shared a quick and easy perfume hack that could make that a problem of the past.

And the best part of all, it costs as little as £1 - and it's all thanks to a product you'll likely have in your makeup bag.

The brunette beauty took to the store's official TikTok page (@superdrugepsomofficial) and begins: "Little bit of a life hack for you.

"So, if you find your perfume isn't wearing for as long as you want it to, I'd recommend popping on a gripping primer before you put your perfume on.

"So everywhere you put the perfume on, put the primer on first.

"Then spray a few spray of the perfume on and it'll grip your perfume on for longer."

Jess reveals she is a fan of the Elf primer, but others can be picked up for as little as £1, depending on the brand.
