The black and white snap saw him sitting in an empty room on a ferry while staring straight into the camera.

George, 49, wore a dark coloured coat and his hair was styled in a spiked up look.

He captioned the snap: "On the ferry…. I bloody love Scotland."

However, some of George's fans were concerned over his appearance, with one replying: "Looking tired mr Clarke, xx take a breather xx."

Another added: "You’re looking a wee bit peaky, George. Sea sickness kicking in?"

A third chimed: "Feeling a bit queasy George?"

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: "You look freezing."

George later posted another picture of the water as he crossed on the ferry, with the clouds creating a moody, atmospheric shot.

He captioned it: "I love you Scotland...so so beautiful."

The concern for George comes just days after BBC Breakfast fans sent well-wishes to an 'exhausted' star.

BBC Breakfast fans concerned for 'unwell and exhausted' star - gushing 'hope everything is okay'

Journalist Hannah Miller was live on the programme from Westminster as she brought viewers up to speed with the latest scandal engulfing the Labour Party.

Donning a floral top, Hannah was straight into it as she delivered all the facts with her usual no-nonsense attitude.

Despite this, fans could not help but express their worry for the star with some of them fearing that she was "unwell".

Writing on X - formerly Twitter - one fan said: "#BBCBreakfast Hannah doesn’t look well."

Another quickly followed up in agreement to say: "She [does look unwell], we thought that last week, I honestly hope everything is OK, she looks exhausted."
