‘Well that gamble paid off’ people say as woman shows off absolutely stunning bargain wedding dress she bought on Vinted

A MUM-OF-ONE set to get married this year found her dream wedding dress on Vinted for thousands of pounds cheaper than the designer’s retail price.

Charlotte Pickering scored a stunning Vera Wang gown for £200 on the second-hand site - and it’s a perfect pick

The 29-year-old was left speechless by her bargain find when she tried it on for the first time.

“I think, if it doesn’t fit now, it’s really not far off,” she said, showcasing the gown in a TikTok video.

The marketing professional purchased the dress for the heavily discounted price on Vinted - a decision she admitted at the time was “either really stupid or really great”.

But she was right to take the leap of faith and scored “the bargain of the century”.

The design Charlotte nabbed is very similar to the Vera Wang Tiered Organza T-Back Ball Gown Wedding Dress.

Vera Wang wedding dresses typically retail second-hand for around £1,000, but are listed on eBay for as much as £5,000.

Brand new, the designer gowns start at £2,400.

Among the celebrities that have sported Vera Wang gowns for their nuptials are Victoria Beckham in 1999 when she married England football captain David in a £100,000 frock, and Jennifer Lopez in 2003.

Vera Wang herself is thought to have spent eight months designing three dresses for J-Lo, who settled on an 18-tier £16,000 gown.

Charlotte received an influx of compliments after posing in her wedding dress on TikTok.

“It is absolutely stunning on you,” Colette Dionne penned. “Wow, £200. It just can’t be!

“Bargain of the century! It will fit.

“You look amazing and you don’t have make-up on.”

Charlotte replied that she was “still in shock” over the find, adding that “it was on Vinted for over a year before she found it”.

“That’s the best Vinted find I've ever seen,” Sophie van Hamont gushed.

“You look stunning in it.”

Others commented that Charlotte's "gamble totally paid off" as she “looks like a vision” in her special dress.
