Death in Paradise star teases return of fan favourite after devastating exit
DEATH in Paradise actress Elizabeth Bourgine has teased an epic return of a fan favourite character as the new series gets underway.
The actress, who plays Catherine Bordey on the show, has got fans' hopes up that her daughter could be heading back to the Island.
Following on from the show's steamy Christmas special, Elizabeth has speculated that next year's special could focus on her character being reunited with her daughter for the holidays.
Catherine's daughter Camille was last seen on screens regularly in 2015 but enjoyed a one-off return in 2021.
She was played by actress Sara Martins and departed after a four-year stint on the BBC show.
Fans watched on as she headed off to Paris after landing an epic new job.

Ramping up the hype for a spectacular comeback for Camilla, Elizabeth said: "For the next Christmas, I think she'd like to invite her daughter to have fun and to be there," the actress admitted.
"I think next Christmas, she should [take care of herdels] much more - inviting people to her home or her bar.
"Inviting her daughter and all of her friends and having a very big Christmas party at home."
She even suggested that love could be on the cards, confessing: "And I think that she could date someone and find love. A great Christmas present!"
Sharing her thoughts on this year's festivities, Elizabeth went on to say: "I love this Christmas special because Catherine is taking care of people and taking care of herself.
"It's a duty to take care of yourself sometimes, and Catherine always takes care of everybody else.
"Their love affairs, their problems when they work, when they're ill. She is always taking care of everybody, and I think she should take a little bit more care of herself."
Fans of the Boxing Day episode were left stunned when two police officers got hot and heavy and locked lips in a steamy scene.
D.S Naomi Thomas got a little drunk at the Christmas party at the end of the episode.
Swapping her work clothes for a stunning one shouldered yellow dress, Naomi confided in Officer Marlon Pryce: "I wish I was more like her."
As they watched Melanie pull out some mistletoe to kiss a hunky local, she said: "I mean, nothing bothers her you know? Does just as she pleases.
"Kisses who she wants, when she wants. I wish I was more like her Marlon."
Marlon replied: "Serg, you don't need to be like any body else. You're cool just the way you are."
Surprised, she asked: "Really? You think I'm cool just the way I am?"
When Marlon said he did, she suddenly leaned in and kissed him on the lips.
Blinking in shock as she pulled away, Marlon said: "OK, what just happened?"
Naomi looked sheepishly and took a swig of her drink, while Marlon coughed nervously as things immediately became awkward between them.
