Liverpool vs Tottenham LIVE SCORE: Reds take on Ange’s men in huge Premier League showdown at Anfield – latest updates

  • Early Liverpool team news

Reds gaffer Jurgen Klopp gave an injury update ahead of this afternoon's clash at Anfield.

"[Diogo Jota] He's not in team training. Conor (Bradley) is, Virgil (Van Dijk) wasn't but should be part of team training today so we'll see what we do there."

  • Tough run for both

It has been a tough few weeks for both of these teams.

Tottenham have been beaten in successive London derbies, with a 3-2 loss to Arsenal followed by a 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.

Ange Postecoglu was incessant on the touchline in the latter fixture, so we will see if his rage has had an impact on his side today.

As for Liverpool, they were performing exceptionally until they lost the Merseyside derby to Everton.

Their title train was derailed in that fixture, but thrown completely off the tracks when they drew 2-2 to West Ham last weekend.

  • Last time they met

This game was an absolute cracker last time we had it, and it ended 2-1 to Tottenham in the reverse fixture.

Curtis Jones was sent off in the 26th minute away from home, but Liverpool fought valiantly with 10 men.

Son Heung-min opened the scoring on the 36th minute, but it was all level before half-time as Cody Gakpo levelled with a Virgil van Dijk assist.
