2 pm ET easter egg
The hours, minutes, and seconds leading up to Friday—when Taylor Swift releases her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, are being breathlessly counted down by her admirers.
Swift has now placed a real clock on her website—but perhaps for a different reason.
There is a countdown clock on the For a Fortnight page, and it is counting down to Thursday at 2 pm.
The singer's favorite number, 13, and the typewriter-styled initials "ttpd," which stand for the record's title, are shown on the website's background.
