Cast of legendary sitcom reunite for new spin-off series 20 years on from Channel 4 debut
THE CAST of a mid noughties show have reunited for a new spin off series, and older fans will be delighted.
Green Wing was a Channel 4 sitcom that focused on the lives of a group of doctors in a fictional East Hampton Hospital.
The series sadly ended in 2007, but now Tamsin Greig has revealed the gang got back together for a new project.
The actress, who played Dr Caroline Todd on the medical show, told the Metro that they worked on an audio comedy spin off.
She shared: "We have actually recorded a podcast with nine of the original cast of Green Wing.
"There are six episodes and the characters are still working in that hospital East Hampton Trust, and it’s in the same vein of the very visual humour that you get in the show, but it’s now of course, an audio comedy.

"And it’s really lovely, because apparently our voices don’t age and that’s great."
Tamsin went on to speculate about when the podcast series might be released.
She thinks producers might be aiming to make it available sometime in 2024, as this is the 20 year anniversary of when the show first aired.
The Love Soup star also explained they actually recorded the podcast last year.
In the final episode of Green Wing, Caroline and Mac tied the knot after the doc discovered her partner had a terminal illness.
The special ended with Caroline being lifted into the air by helium balloons at the wedding reception.
Tamsin hasn't said whether the plot of the podcast will pick up from that point, or sometime in the future.
