Maya Jama gives new Love Island update and reveals if AfterSun is returning this year

MAYA Jama has thrilled fans by spilling the beans about what she knows so far about the new series of Love Island - plus if AfterSun will return.

Fans have been busy speculating about what will be in store when the ITV dating show returns to our screens, and today host Maya , 30, gave them an update.

The much-loved Love Island presenter - who has hosted the show since 2023 - has now shared a bit of news about the new series.

Taking to TikTok, Maya revealed whether the spin-off show AfterSun - which airs on Sunday nights after the main show - will be back.

Addressing her followers, the excited star said: "Do I even know who the Islanders are?

"Do I know what time and date I'm flying to Mallorca? No, but guess what?

"We are so back. We are so f***ing back. I'm really excited, guys. The sun is out."

Continuing, the stunning star said: "Summer Love Island's about to happen.

"They released a little advert. It ain't even the real advert yet. I can smell it in the air.

"A bunch of new cuties are about to enter that villa. Your 9pm's will be gone. You will be locked in!"

Revealing the fate of her spin-off show, she said: "And I am so ready. AfterSun's back.

"I just got a really big wave of excitement. I can't wait.

"Make sure you're there, because I will be in my little outfits.

"I don't know why I say little. Big outfits, saucy outfits, new waves, new vibes, new energy. But either way, don't miss it.

"Because if you do, nothing will happen to you, but just lock in."

RETURN OF LOVE ISLAND

This latest news comes just days after Maya teased fans about Love Island's return.

On Monday, a promo video dropped on the show's official Instagram page.

The short clip showed a memo being printing out which read: "Attention: Love Island is coming soon. Attendance mandatory."

Maya then signed it off with her name and a kiss, and branded herself the "CEO of love".

Fans are patiently awaiting the arrival of the new summer series, but they still don't have an official start date yet.

As a result they have been busy have speculating that there’s been a big shake-up, and that the start date has actually been pushed back.

They think the show might be starting on Monday, June 9.

The summer series normally starts a week after the Bank Holiday, which would make it Monday, June 2. 

But with the lack of Love Island promos, viewers convinced that it has been pushed back.
