The woman, who often takes to TikTok to share tips and tricks, questioned: "Why has nobody told me this before?"

As the video plays she can be seen opening a secret flap inside the fuel cap on her car, which appears to be a Skoda, and revealing a stealthy little ice scraper.

In the video, she asks: "Why has nobody told me about this before?"

It can then be seen making light work of her iced-up windows, clearing it in no time.

Reacting to the video, followers were just as surprised as she was.

One user said: "I've been driving six years for someone to tell me that."

While a second said: "Skoda? Mine has one too."

Although most were wowed by the clever hack, some were a little miffed after checking their car to find that they have not been blessed with the same luxury.

One person wrote: "I have not got one?"

Others said that although the hack is helpful, it has Its own issues as well.

One user, wrote: "Tell me you own a Skoda without telling me, it's great until the fuel cap freezes shut haha."

And a second said: "Snow on car. Melts. Runs down the lid. Gets cold again. Freezes. No open tank lid."

Social media has become a go-to for everyday hacks that people can take advantage of - and this comes after a mum found a clever de-icing hack that she "can't live without".

Chloe Mart posted the handy trick on her TikTok account, which is perfect for "mornings on the go".

She claims that her "super quick and easy" method stops her from having to "stand around in the cold" on Icey mornings.

Chloe, said: "Now it's getting to the frozen mornings and everyone's rushing... [but] this is super quick and easy.

"All you need to do is put lukewarm water from the tap straight into a plastic bag...hover it over your windscreen, it melts it all."
