Who Wants to Be A Millionaire viewers stunned as contestant walks away from ‘easiest answer’ – could you have got it?
WHO Wants to Be A Millionaire viewers were stunned as a contestant walked away from the 'easiest answer' - would you have got it right?
Viewers watched as Jeremy Clarkson welcomed new hopefuls to the iconic ITV game show.
Among them was Diana England, a retired production manager from Penrith.
Having got through her first few questions, Diana faced a challenge on £16,000.
She was asked: "The national flag of Ireland is a near mirror image of that of which African country?"
The four options presented were Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Egypt and Kenya.

Clearly stumped, Diana first opted to call on Jeremy's assistance by using the "Ask the Host" lifeline.
Jeremy responded: "When that cropped up, I thought 'this will be easy' and it isn't.
"I can't get a single one of those flags in my head."
After mulling it over, the presenter ultimately didn't know the correct answer either.
Diana then used her "Phone A Friend" to call her pal Julian for help.
Although Julian said he didn't know the answer, he did tell her Cote d'Ivoire "has the same flag as Ireland."
He added: "I don't think it's Kenya, I don't think it's Egypt. Sorry, that's the best I can do."
Jeremy pointed out Julian had "been of massive assistance" despite saying he didn't know the answer.
Not wanting to gamble £15,000, Diana then chose to take the money.
To her disappointment, she discovered Cote d'Ivoire had been the correct answer all along.
Her decision to bow out didn't go down well with viewers, who shared their thoughts online.
A fan wrote on X: "It's the easiest answer and she walked."
Who has won the jackpot on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has offered hundreds of hopeful contestants the chance to become millionaires, but there has only been a handful of lucky winners.
There have only been five real winners so far on the show as Charles Ingram, who was the third winner of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2001, had his claim to the prize thrown out because of cheating allegations.
The official winners are...
Judith Keppel
- In 2000, garden designer Judith Keppel made quiz show history as she became the first ever winner of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Judith is also the only woman ever to have won the million-pound prize.
David Edwards
- Former physics teacher David became the second contestant to win the top prize in April 2001. Following his success, Edwards went on to compete in both series of Are You an Egghead? in 2008 and 2009.
Robert Brydges
- Oxford-educated banker Robert became the third Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? champion when he won the quiz show several moths after David in 2001. Robert has stayed out of the limelight since his win.
Pat Gibson
- World champion Irish quiz player Pat won the show in 2004. Amazingly Pat had TWO of his lifelines still available for his final question, something no other winner has managed.
Ingram Wilcox
- Ingram came close to losing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2006 as he had used all his lifelines up at the £32,000 mark, but in a shocking twist he went on to scoop the jackpot.
Another added: "Wow… a kid could have answered that."
A third questioned: "She literally just got told the answer and she takes the money??"
